CUMBERLAND — The Tri-State Concert Association’s Legends of Rock ’n’ Roll Concert Series has announced its 2010 concert schedule, including several changes to the series lineup. The five show series (a sixth show will be added if ticket sales warrant) and show dates follow.

Jan. 16 kicks off the 2010 series with the return of Matt Lewis and his Tribute to the King, the late Elvis Presley. Lewis’ performance is “electrifying” and has been the top requested show in the series.

Feb. 20 brings Bowser’s Rock ’n’ Roll Party to Cumberland. Featuring Jon Bauman, also known as Bowser of the music and stage show Sha Na Na, the high-energy variety show feature songs of the 1950s and ’60s along with Bowser’s unique humor.

March 20 starts off with a roar as The Contours featuring Sylvester Potts and The Crystals take the stage. The Contours’ signature hit “Do You Love Me” was featured in the movie “Dirty Dancing.” The Crystals had many hits, including “Da Do Ron Ron.”

April 3 finds Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone in what promises to be a terrific show. A household name in the mid ’60s, Noone and the Hermits had many hits including “I’m into Something Good,” “Mrs. Brown You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter” and their signature hit “I’m Henry the Eighth.”

“Noone and The Hermits are still one of the most requested groups still performing and we are very proud they are coming here,” said a concert association spokeswoman.

On Sept 18, The Unexpected Boys and their Tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons will bring to life the dozens of songs Valli and the Four Seasons made and currently being featured in the Broadway show “Jersey Boys.” The Unexpected Boys are New York City actors and musicians and the show includes Valli’s hits “Sherry,” ”Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “Oh What A Night.”

All shows are in the Allegany High School auditorium. Show time is 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. All seats are reserved. For information and season tickets call (301) 759-0580 or visit TWR, 549 N. Centre St. Concert information is also available at www.tri-stateconcerts.com.
