Reservations are due Sunday, Nov. 30, at 8 p.m. for the Mineral County Historical Society’s dinner meeting.
The event will take place Wednesday, Dec. 3, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont. The meal will be served at 6 p.m.
The program will follow at 7 p.m. and Regis Nale of Claysburg, Pa., will present a program on the history of Santa Claus as depicted by picture postcards.
The program is open to the public and reservations are not required to attend only the program.

Rawlings United Methodist Church will host soloist David Ravenscroft Sunday, Nov. 30, at the 11 a.m. service.

The Keyser Presbyterian Church will host the FaireWynds Entertainment’s production of “Dickens’ Victorian Christmas Party,” on Sunday, Nov. 30, at 3 and 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the church.

The Ridgeley High School Women’s Lunch Club, formerly the Sophisticated Ladies, will meet Monday, Dec. 1, at noon at Cindi’s Restaurant, Fort Ashby. Those attending are to bring a special ornament to show.

The Ridgeley VFW Gold Star Post 6452 will hold a breakfast meeting Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the post home. Breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. and the meeting will follow.

The Keyser High School class of 1944 will hold its regular luncheon meeting Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 12:30 p.m. at The Pines Restaurant, Keyser.
All members and guests are welcome to attend.

The Ladies Auxiliary of Ridgeley VFW Gold Star Post 6452 will hold an all-you-can-eat spaghetti and meatball dinner Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the post home. The menu will include salad, roll, beverage and dessert.
The event is open to the public and carryouts will be available.

The Limestone CEOS will hold its annual Christmas dinner Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 6 p.m. at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 303 S. Mineral St., Keyser.

The Keyser High School class of 1957 will hold a class meeting at Denny's Restaurant in Keyser on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 1 p.m. to start making plans for a 70th birthday party to be held in 2009. All classmates and spouses are invited to attend.

The annual Tri-Towns Christmas Parade is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. The line-up will start in Piedmont in the vicinity of the Piedmont Fire Hall. The parade will then move through Piedmont, across the bridge to Westernport and down Main Street, disbanding at the Carl Belt Building.
Any group or organization wishing to participate should fill out an application and return it to the town of Westernport. Applications may also be picked up at the clerk’s office in Westernport, Piedmont and Luke.

Southern Gospel artists The Hoppers, Madison, N.C., will be in concert Thursday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m. at Frankfort High School, Short Gap.
The Hopper’s have been singing Southern Gospel Music for 50 years and have won numerous awards for Favorite Mixed Group. Kim Hopper has been voted Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Soprano and Connie Hopper was voted Favorite Alto. The family group consist of Claude and Connie Hopper, Dean and Kim Hopper and Mike Hopper.

The Calvary Methodist Church, 20 Knobley Street, Ridgeley, will hold an all-you-can-eat breakfast Saturday, Dec. 6, from 7 to 11 a.m. The menu will include pancakes, sausage, sausage gravy, biscuits, scrambled eggs and beverage.
The event is open to the public.

The 13th annual PSC Holiday Festival and Craft Show will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dana G. Lough Gymnasium, Potomac State College, Keyser.
The festival features 62 vendor spots, food and entertainment. There will be a 50/50 drawing, door prizes and a white elephant table. Santa will visit and parents can bring their cameras and take pictures.
The festival benefits Toys for Joy, formerly Toys for Tots.

The Cresaptown Area Senior Citizens will hold a Christmas dinner party Saturday, Dec. 6, at noon at the Cresaptown United Methodist Church, McMullen Highway, Cresaptown. The installation of officers for 2009 will held.

During the November meeting, members voted to not have a gift exchange, however, members attending are to bring non-perishable food for the food pantry.

The New Valley Four Quartet will be holding a concert at The Church Triumphant on Sunday, Dec. 7, at 6:30 p.m.
The concert is open to the public and everyone is invited. A love offering will be received to benefit the quartet.
The church is located just off state Route 28 between Wiley Ford and Short Gap behind the Mountaineer Mart.

The event will take place Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Barton Fireman’s Armory. A social will begin at 4:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 5 p.m. and dancing from 6 to 9 p.m. Music will be provided by the Johnny Moore Duo.
A 50/50 drawing and door prizes will be held.
The event is open to the public and semi-formal dress is suggested.
