Old Furnace Church of the Brethren youth and children will present a Christmas play, “It Happened in the Country,” on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 10:30 a.m. at the church, located off state Route 28 on the Old Furnace Road.
The Cresaptown Sportsman Club will meet Sunday, Dec. 14, at noon at the Cresaptown Eagles, McMullen Highway. The election of officers will be held.
A raffle will be held for a reproduction 1941 Red Ryder BB Gun with original box and comic book.

The Ridgeley Volunteer Fire Department will host a Longenberger Basket Bingo Sunday, Dec. 14, at the fire hall. The doors open at 1 p.m. and bingo will begin at 2 p.m.
The Ridgeley American Legion will hold a children’s Christmas party Sunday, Dec. 14, at 1 p.m.
Families must sign up in advance. Children up to age 10 will be given gifts and Santa Claus will participate.
Rees Chapel United Methodist Church, New Creek, will hold its Christmas program Sunday, Dec. 14, at 6 p.m.
The service is open to the public.
Wiley Ford Church of the Brethren will hold its annual Christmas cantata, “In the Light of the Stable,” candle lighting and communion service Sunday, Dec. 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the church.
Refreshments will follow the service.
The Keyser High School class of 1962 will meet for dinner Monday, Dec. 15, at 5:30 p.m. at The Candlewyck Restaurant, Keyser.
The El Fidel Club will meet Monday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m. at the Westernport Library.
“Three Wise Men and a Baby,” originally written by Pam Anderson, will be presented by students at Calvary Christian Academy Thursday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m. at the church, Cresaptown.
The event is free and open to the public and a free will offering will be accepted.
The William Shuck Memorial American Legion, Post 136 and the Ridgeley Gold Star Post, 6452 VFW will place a community Christmas tree in front of the veterans memorial at the Ridgeley, W.Va. The tree will be dedicated Friday, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m. Santa will be there with gifts of candy, oranges and popcorn balls for the children of the Ridgeley and Carpendale areas.
Laurel Dale United Methodist Church will hold a candlelight service and covered dish dinner Saturday, Dec. 20, at 6 p.m.
Wiley Ford Church of the Brethren will hold its annual children’s Christmas program, “Whose Birthday is it Anyway?” Sunday, Dec. 21, at 11 a.m. at the church.
The young people of Harmony Baptist Church will hold a Christmas program entitled “God's Gift to Us’’ on Sunday, Dec. 21, at 6:30 p.m. The church is located at 24211 Westernport Road, state Route 135, Westernport.
