ACCIDENT - Stanley L. Miller, 77, of Accident, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at WMHS-Braddock Campus, Cumberland.
Born May 22, 1930 in Black Oak, he was the son of the late Cletus L. and Ella Mae (Lough) Miller. He was preceded in death by two sons, David S. and Larry L.; one daughter, Cynthia Sue; one brother, Ernest; and one sister, Mary Ann Mongold.
Mr. Miller was a member of Glendale Assembly of God. He volunteered at local nursing homes and day care centers, singing and playing his harmonica and sharing his faith. He never met a stranger.
He was a retired maintenance worker for the Wisp Resort.
Surviving are his wife, A. Yvonne (House) Miller; one son, Paul J. and wife Dorine, Chandler, Ariz.; two daughters, Regina J. Brenneman and husband Richard, Accident and Linda G. Treasure and husband Mark, LaVale; one sister, Evelyn Cowatch, Keyser, W.Va. He will be greatly missed by his 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren who loved him very much.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 26722 Garrett Highway, Accident, (McHenry) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at Glendale Assembly of God on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Goldizen and the Rev. Gail Hixon officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Dawson Cemetery, Rawlings.
Expressions of sympathy may be directed in care of the family.
