Hazel L. Coleman [Everett]
EVERETT, Pa. - Hazel Leon Coleman, 86, of Everett, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at home with her family by her side.
She was born Nov. 15, 1921, a daughter of the late Harry F. Hockenberry Sr. and Flossie (Mellott) Hockenberry.
On February 27, 1943 in Cumberland, she married Charles H. Coleman Jr. who passed away Nov. 1, 1984.
A daughter, Connie Miller; two sisters; and six brothers also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Coleman was a member of the Everett United Methodist and previously worked as a seamstress at Lion Manufacturing in Everett. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening and quilting and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by their children, Bonnie Koontz and husband Richard of Bedford, Pa., Thomas Coleman and wife Linda of Lonaconing, Md., Linda Norris and husband Thomas of Everett and Dianne Keller and husband Don of Bedford; two sisters, Jessie Shaffer and Maxine Snyder, both of Everett; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; four step grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; and three great grandchildren on the way,
Friends will be received at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main St., Everett, on Friday, May 16, 2008 from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Williams officiating.
Interment will be held at Everett Cemetery.
