Wanda L. (Lease) Barton [Cumberland]

CUMBERLAND — Wanda Louise (Lease) Barton, 87, of Cumberland, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the Devlin Manor Nursing Home.

Born March 1, 1922 in Cresaptown, she was the daughter of the late Mason Burr Lease and Alberta Ruth (Kelly) Lease. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Jess Hochar; her second husband, Raymond Lawrence Barton; one son, Gary Thomas Norris; one sister, June Clay; one brother, Edward Lease.

Surviving are her daughters, Karen Lynn Kirk and husband Larry, Conowingo and Kelly Louise Ridgeway and husband Michael, Cresaptown; three brothers Lester Lease, Baltimore, Calvin Lease, Ridgeley, W.Va. and Wade Lease, Corriganville; two sisters, Harriett Eaton, Rawlings, and Daisey Ritchie, Corriganville; five grandchildren, Bronwyn Davis, Cumberland, Christine L. Boswell, Bridget Kelly, Rising Sun, Corey Kirk, Elkton and Nathan Kirk, Rising Sun; one step-grandson, Brian Kirk, Springfield, W.Va.; 13 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland scarpellifuneralhomes.com on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Wayne Turner officiating.

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
