John Ficik Jr. [Green Spring]

GREEN SPRING, W.Va. — John Ficik Jr., 77, of Green Spring, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at WMHS-Memorial Hospital.
Born March 23, 1932 in Meyersdale, Pa., he was the son of the late John Ficik Sr. and Anna (Lawrence) Ficik.
He worked for Koppers and was a member of the Forest Glen United Methodist Church, Green Spring.
He married Betty Jane (Twigg) on Dec. 10, 1955 in Cumberland, Md.
Surviving with his wife of 53-1/2 years are two daughters, Linda Gileau of Woodbridge, Va. and Donna Jean McCoy of Springfield, W.Va.; three sons, John Ficik III of Grand Junction, Colo., Michael Ficik of Green Spring and Robert Ficik of Woodbridge; a sister, Irene Morris of Pennsylvania; a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe and Shirley Twigg; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Friends will be received at McKee Funeral Home, 115 E. Birch Lane, Romney, W.Va., Friday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Deborah Shreve officiating.
Interment will follow in Forrest Glen Cemetery, Green Spring.
McKee Funeral Home, Romney, is in charge of arrangements.
