Rick L. Godby [Cumberland]

CUMBERLAND — Rick L. Godby, 54, of Bedford Street, Cumberland, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 at his residence.
Born on March 19, 1956 at Lansing, he was a son of Donna L. (Jackson) Godby of Keyser, W.Va. and the late Lloyd O. Godby. He also was preceded in death by a grand-niece, Amber K. Hott.
Mr. Godby was a self employed hairstylist and was a member of Aerie 245, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Cumberland.
Surviving in addition to his mother, is his brother, Charles "Chuck" Godby and a sister, Sandy Hott, both of Keyser; two nephews, Joey Kimble and Shawn Kimble and Connie; and five grandnieces and nephews, Amanda and Megan Hott, Erica Sweitzer and Jared and Sophia Kimble.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Randy Crowe officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the family in care of Donna L. Godby, 380 Parkview Drive, Keyser, WV 26726.
