Fisher, Miller, Donahue lead Fort Hill past Keyser

CUMBERLAND - Lindsey Fisher scored 14 points, Becky Miller had 13 and Cassie Donahue added eight rebounds and dished out eight assists to lift Fort Hill over Keyser, 50-47, in an Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference game Saturday night.

The Sentinels bolted to a 19-8 lead after one quarter and never trailed. It was 26-9 at the half and 38-25 after three periods.

Fisher hit four field goals, with three being three-pointers, and three foul shots for her game-high total for the Sentinels (3-11, 1-7 AMAC).

Kourtni Roby and Kacee Whetzel had double-doubles for Keyser (3-13, 1-10), which put up 38 points in the second half after scoring only nine in the first.

Roby had 13 points and 10 rebounds and Whetzel 11 points and 10 rebounds. Julia Ludwick added 11 points.

Keyser won the jayvee game 40-36 in overtime. Marian Bartlett had 16 points and Tabitha Barrow eight for the Tornado. Andrea Armstrong had 15 and Christina Stevens 10 for the Sentinels.

Keyser travels to Tucker County on Tuesday and Fort Hill plays at Allegany on Wednesday.
