Union beats West Virginia Deaf 56-31

MOUNT STORM — Union limited West Virginia School for the Deaf to four first-quarter points in the Tigers win.

Brittany Jones scored a game-high 16 points in leading Union, and Carrie Kitzmiller finished with 10.

After falling behind 20-4 in the first quarter, WVSD played even with Union in the second quarter to go in halftime down 35-20. The Tigers held the Lions to 11 points over the second half.

Maddie Mongold had 15 for the Lions.

Union (12-7) played at Pendleton last night.
