Heritage beats Calvary, 71-35

HAGERSTOWN - Morgan McIntyre scored 28 points and Brianna Dorsey had 21 to lead second-seeded Heritage Academy over seventh-seeded Calvary Christian in the first round of the Mason-Dixon Christian Conference tournament.

McIntyre hit 12 field goals and three free throws in leading all scoers for Heritage, which led 33-13 at halftime. Caroline Clark added 11 points.

Chaise Crossland led Calvary with 11 points, and Beth Mason added nine.

Calvary finished its season with a mark of 3-17.

"We had a very young team, but they improved throughout the season," said Calvary coach Barry Mason. "I look for good things to happen next season."
