Northern hammers Hancock, 67-27

HANCOCK - The Fratz sisters combined for 29 points to lead Northern to an easy 67-27 win over Hancock in a Maryland Class 1A West first-round playoff game at Hancock Friday evening.

Kasie Fratz finishes with 16 points on 14 field goals and 2-for-3 from the line while Kaitlynn Fratz scored 13 on five baskets and a 3-for-5 night on free throws. She led the team with six steals and six assists.

Megan Wiley was the leading rebounder with seven. Adria Graham had nine points. Kara Savage finished with seven and Megan Wiley had six. Danielle Brenneman and Trish Wiley each finished with five.

The Huskies (16-5), at No. 1 Allegany tonight in the West section semifinal, dominated from the start, leading 24-2 and 40-8 in the first half and took a 60-12 lead into the game's final period.
