KEYSER, W.Va. — Helen O. Deputy, 90, of 450 S. Mineral St., Keyser, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Heartland of Keyser.

Born March 4, 1919, in Keyser, she was a daughter of the late Walter J. and Mabel O. (Hines) Cross. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rex H. Deputy; two grandsons, infant, Douglas Liller Jr. and Jeremiah Westfall; a brother, Walter J. “Happy” Cross Jr.; and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn De-puty.

Mrs. Deputy was a 1937 graduate of Keyser High School and a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her three children, Nancy Liller and husband Doug A. of Gaithersburg, Md., Robert Deputy of Gaithersburg, and Sally Westfall of Keyser; five grandchildren, Lisa Bishop and husband Tim, Michael Deputy, Timothy Deputy, Jennifer Arnold and husband Steven and Julie Westfall and Jason Hale; and seven great-grandchildren, Manny Deputy, Marco Deputy, Dylan Bishop, Jacquelyn Bishop, Christopher Arnold, Julia Arnold and Jacob Hale.

Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Friday, May 29, 2009, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, May 30, 2009, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James A. McCune officiating.

Interment will follow in Queen’s Point Cemetery, Keyser.
