Willie Powell's RBI lifts Hancock over Paw Paw

HANCOCK - Willie Powell singled home Jake Foreman in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Hancock to a 5-4 win over Paw Paw Tuesday evening.

The Pirates got out to a 4-0 lead when they scored all four runs in the fourth. Logan Stotler had two of the team's RBIs with a double and scored later on a Mike Bradford hit. Bradford finished with a double, a single, a run scored and a run batted in.

Mike Lenhart doubled in the fifth inning for the Panthers.

After the Pirates took their 4-0 lead, Hancock cut it in half with two in the fifth and tied it in the sixth before winning in the seventh.

Paw Paw is 2-9 and will play a make-up game at Union today at 4:30.
