Musselman slips by Hampshire, 8-7

INWOOD, W.Va. - Musselman scored in the bottom of the seventh inning to steal a win from Hampshire Tuesday in the first game of the best-of-three West Virginia Class AAA Region 2, Section 1 Playoffs.

Cunningham collected his second single of the evening to drive in the winning run in the last inning, after Hampshire scored twice in the top half to tie the score at seven.

LaRoche had a pair of home runs for the Applemen, hitting one in the fourth and his second in the fifth. Frame added a double and a triple.

Cody Moreland knocked a home run and a single to lead the Trojans. J.R. Shuck drove in a pair of runs with two doubles and a single, and Jalen Newcome singled twice to drive in one.

Hampshire slips to 7-19 overall, and will host the Applemen today at 5 p.m. in game two.
