Mountain Ridge JV beats Keyser JV 26-0

Tina Wilt tossed a five-inning no-hitter and Rachel Shockey homered and drove in four runs as Mountain Ridge routed Keyser in a junior varsity game at Glendening Field.

Wilt struck out seven, walked only one and, with the help of a Miners double play, faced the minimum 15 batters in the five-inning game.

Wilt received plenty of offensive support as Mountain Ridge scored 26 runs on 26 hits.

Shockey homered and doubled, Amber Catala went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two singles, and Heather Shipe was 3-for-3 with three singles, three RBIs and three runs scored.

Mountain Ridge (9-3) will host Allegany on Monday. The varsity game starts at 4 o’clock and the jayvee game will follow.
