Southern crushes Keyser, 10-1

KEYSER, W.Va. - Amy Dick singled, doubled and knocked in three runs to lead Southern over Keyser in AMAC softball action Wednesday.

Sara Brenneman singled twice and knocked in a run for Southern, and Shayna Sweitzer singled twice. The Rams broke open a 1-0 game with three runs in the fourth, two in the fifth and four in the sixth.

Brittani Riley had two singles, a double and an RBI for Keyser, which managed five hits against Southern starter Melodie Stolbom.

Keyser (6-20) will play a doubleheader Friday at Petersburg in the sectional tournament. Southern (7-6) will host Fort Hill today at 4:30 p.m.
