No. 4 East Hardy edges Petersburg, 3-2

PETERSBURG, W.Va. - Emily Biller's seventh-inning RBI groundout proved to be the game-winner as fourth-ranked East Hardy held off Petersburg Wednesday.
The Cougars led 2-1 entering the seventh inning when winning pitcher Molly Look tripled and scored on Biller's groundout to put East Hardy up two runs.
In the bottom of the inning, Petersburg's Celeste Bradley led off with a base hit, Kayla Watts doubled and Jessica Hinkle's groundout scored Bradley. Look then got the final out, stranding Watts on third.
Biller finished with two RBIs, Look had a triple and Holly Wilkins had two singles. Petersburg's Watts' had two hits.
Look struck out 10, allowed five hits and walked six. Hinkle gave up eights and didn't walk any batters.
Petersburg (6-17) begins its sectional tournament today against Keyser at Petersburg's Michael Brothers Field. The doubleheader will begin at 5 p.m. The Cougars (18-2) begin sectional play Saturday.
