Fritz Kessler of the geography department at Frostburg State University stands in front of the Frostburg Post Office kiosk after the installation of an updated Frostburg map. The map was originally designed and compiled for FrostburgFirst — A Maryland Main Street Community by Charles Kershner in 2002 as a senior project in the advanced “Applied Design in the Mapping Sciences” taught by Kessler. Kershner currently works for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency located in Bethesda.
