ACM whips Westmoreland

WESTMORELAND, Pa. — Five Allegany College of Maryland players, led by Melissa Ford’s 17 points, scored in double figures as the Trojans had little trouble with Westmoreland Community College Monday night, 83-46, to remain undefeated after seven games.
Ford hit eight field goals and a free throw to lead the Trojans, while Alicia Sheppard scored 14 points. Martina Kurtz hit for 12 points, with all four of her field goals being three-pointers. Lisa Byer added 11 points for Allegany, and Jesse Owens scored 10.
Ford and Shannon Washington led Allegany on the boards with 10 rebounds apiece. Allegany led at the half, 43-13.
For the Wolfpack (8-2), Jamie Henry scored 14 points, and Laura McCauley had 11.
Allegany hosts Hagerstown tonight at 7 p.m.
