ACCIDENT — Homer M. Deniker, 89, of Accident, died Friday, May 8, 2009, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville.

Born Dec. 14, 1919, in Boynton, Pa., he was the son of the late William and Ada (Bowser) Deniker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence A. (Bach) Deniker, Jan. 30, 2007; one son, Glenn Krause; two brothers, John and Ernest Deniker; and one sister, Alta Preston.

Mr. Deniker was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, ELCA, Cove and was a self-employed carpenter.

He is survived by three sons, Gary Deniker and wife Soriee, Mt. Airy, Roy Deniker and wife Carolyn and Paul Deniker and wife Molly, all of Accident; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Krause, McHenry; one sister, Ruth Jacobsen, Roseburg, Ore.; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Monday from 3 to 8 p.m.

Services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. Roland E. Nairn III officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.
