D&D Homes whips Keyser Moose, 12-1

BARTON - Adam Stowell ripped three doubles and Josh Fitzgerald belted a bases-loaded triple as D&D Homes defeated the Keyser Moose in the season opener for both teams at Barton Meadow Field Tuesday.
Tied 1-1 through three innings, D&D blew the game open with a seven-run fourth and tacked on four more runs in the fifth.
Stowell knocked in two runs with his three two-baggers, and Fitzgerald singled in addition to his three-run triple for D&D. Jay Wilson singled twice, Ryan Redinger had an RBI double, Josh Mills a two-run single and Devin Garlitz an RBI single for the winners.
Redinger was overpowering on the mound, allowing only one hit and striking out 13 in five innings.
Smith hit an RBI single for the Moose.
D&D hosts G&S Coal/New Page on Friday at Barton Meadow. Keyser will take on G&S/New Page next Thursday at Westernport.
