Outdoor Power beats Hobo's, 7-2

POTOMAC PARK - Three pitchers teamed for a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts as Cumberland Outdoor Power topped Hobo's Restaurant 7-2 in the opening game of their in the best-of-three Hot Stove League playoff series Tuesday at Hamilton Field.

Starter J.D. Hook and had six strikeouts in three innings and aided his cause by hitting a double and single at the plate. Ryan Aldridge hit a two-run single in the third inning, when ODP broke a 1-1 tie with three runs. Catcher Bill Kelly finished with two singles.

Dave Rinehart pitched one inning in relief of Hook and had one strikeout, and turned a key double play with the bases loaded from his third base position in the bottom of the sixth inning. Drew O'Neal pitched the final three innings and struck out four.

Joey Shroyer tripled for Hobo's.

Both teams are now 12-6. The second game of the series is Thursday at Holler Field.
