Wisp wins first

Wisp tops First United/7-Eleven, 12-2

POTOMAC PARK - Andy Umbel had three hits and three RBIs and pitched six solid innings to lead Wisp past First United/7-Eleven in the first game of their three-game series at Holler Field.

Umbel hit a triple, double and a single and drove in three runs. On the mound, he scattered six hits in six innings and struck out nine.

Alex Smith tripled, singled and knocked in three runs and Garrett Rayner and Cody Humberson had a single and two RBIs for the Wisp (14-4).

Pat Livingston finished 3-for-4 with an RBI for Frostburg. and Seth Baer added an RBI single.

Game 2 is Thursday at Hamilton Field.
