Keith Tenney rolled an honor score 299 in his 756 set at The Bowler in their Harmony League on Oct. 18.
John Rowe bowls Sherwood’s first perfect game of this new bowling season, scoring 708/300.
Clay Corbin bowled a perfect game in the Thursday Men’s Doubles League at Wilson Lanes on October 1.
Alex Shirey bowled a perfect game in his 647 set at White Oak Lanes on Sept. 23 in the Wednesday night Industrial League.
Bob Greene bowled an 805/288 score at Wilson Lanes on Thursday Sept. 3, in the Thursday Men’s Trio League. Greene is starting out the new season by setting a fairly high bar for others to challenge. At White Oaks, Rich Gray rolled an honor score game of 299 in his 647 set, another great season start.
Larry Housel scored a perfect game in scoring 767/300 at The Bowler on April 29 in the Wednesday Night Men’s League. Housel’s 767 was also that center’s top score for the last two weeks. Bobby Benton was next high, rolling 679/238.
Mike Brobst and Don Parsons are the week’s scoring leaders at White Oak Lanes, each bowling near perfect games. Brobst was the area leader with a 787 set and Parsons’ series totaled 739.
Troy Smith scored 640/300 on the Cheeta pattern in the PBA Experience League at White Oak Lanes on Friday night, April 17. Trying a friend’s bowling ball on the previous game, he then rolled the perfect game using that ball.
Gary Ullery in the Satellite League at The Bowler was the area’s top bowler for the week rolling 766/279. Ron Fatkin’s 734/279 was next high at that center.
Bob Greene bowled another perfect game at Wilson Lanes in the Thursday Night Doubles League on April 2. Greene also rolled a 722/248 score in the Trio League that same evening.
Rodney Kesner in last Thursday Night Trio League bowled a perfect game and 725 set and the top score at Wilson Lanes for the week.
Craig Davis bowled a perfect game in his 714 set at Wilson Lanes on March 19 in the Thursday Night Trio League. Rodney Helsley rolled 706/299 in the Monday Men’s League also at Wilson Lanes.
Bobby Lannon bowled 783/277 in the Industrial League at White Oak Lanes and was the area’s top bowler for the week. Troy Smith followed rolling 729/258. Tommy McDonald scored a big 286 game in his 702 set.
Brett Stenberg joined the list of bowlers rolling perfect games this season posting a score of 713/300 at Wilson Lanes in the Thursday Night Men’s Doubles League.
Bill Kyle bowled a big 289 game and 783 set at Wilson Lanes to claim top honors in the local area for the week. Scott Hixenbaugh was next at that center rolling 708/269.
John Wolford scored a 299 game in his 758 set in The Bowler’s County League.
Jeremiah Howsare bowled an honor score 298 game in his 743 set at White Oak Lanes and was the area’s top bowler for the week. Shane Nickleson was next, rolling 711/268. Dick Sites scored a 290 game in his 687 set.
Paul Pryor bowled 747/300 at White Oak Lanes in the Tuesday Night Mixed League on Feb. 3. I believe it is his second perfect game.
Travis Walters rolled his second 300 of this season in the ABL Mixed League at The Bowler on Feb. 10, scoring 670/300.
Chad Gable bowled a near-perfect 299 game and a 798 series for the area’s top score for the week. Mike Brobst was next high at that center rolling 780/279. Troy Cubbage also scored a big game, posting 674/289.
Bobby Lannon rolled a big 296 game and 787 set for the area’s top score for the week. A.J. Bishop and Jeremiah Howsare also scored well, posting 755/280 and 740/268, respectively.
Shane Nickleson rolled the week’s top score of 764/279 at White Oak Lanes. Jack Hendershot was next high, scoring at White Oaks scoring 689/235.
Bob Greene was highest at Wilson Lanes posting 752/279 and 749/257 in Thursday’s Men’s Trio and Doubles Leagues. Tom McDonald bowled 715/279.
At the Bowler, Mat McKenzie’s 734/279 was the top mark. Scott Brant followed rolling 684/258.
Another week in which bowling leagues were cancelled, this time weather with ice-covered roads rather than holiday chores was the reason.
ilson’s Bill Kyle bowled 778/278 in the Monday Men’s League during a holiday week in which several league matches were cancelled.

Joe Mullenax rolled a 300 game in his 703 set at White Oak Lanes, turning in the fourth perfect game of this season and the third at White Oak Lanes.

Mike Sipple bowled 697/300 at White Oak Lanes for the first perfect game in the area this new bowling season.
Bobby Lannon bowled 792/279 in the Industrial League at White Oak Lanes and earned the area’s high mark so far in this early part of the season. Chad Gable was next high at that center rolling a big 289 game and 761 set.
Troy Cubbage was the area’s top bowler for the week, rolling 750/268 at The Bowler in LaVale.
Gary Ullery bowled 771/279 in the Satellite League at The Bowler and posted the area’s top score for the week.
Greg Smith bowled 740/257 at White Oak Lanes and was the area’s top bowler for the week. Paul Pryor also had a big score, rolling 705/268.
Rodney Helsley bowled 734/288 at Wilson Lanes to lead area bowlers as more leagues begin their seasons. John Corbin followed rolling 701/265, and Rodney Kesner scored 700/251.
Eric Bittner rolled a 741/263 at The Bowler and was the area’s scoring leader for the start of the 2008-2009 bowling season. Corey Shirey was the next highest at that center rolling 726/257 followed by A.J. Bishop’s 724/257.
Larry Housel Jr. rolled a near perfect 299 game and a 773 set at White Oak Lanes for the area's top score for the week. Jeremiah Howsare was next high scoring 728/267.
The 2007-2008 bowling season has ended in several leagues and discussions about summer plans, next season, awards dinners, etc. are also happening. The annual USBC association meeting is scheduled for May 20 at White Oak Lanes in Cumberland starting at 6:30 p.m.
Mike Brobst led area bowlers for the week rolling 782/278 in the White Oaks' Industrial League. Jim Helminiak's 729/267 was second at that center.
Two more 300's rolled during the week. Bob Greene scored 793/300 at Wilson Lanes and Will Clinch rolled an identical 793/300 at The Bowler.
Corey Shirey bowled 825/300 at The Bowler for the area's top score for the week and added a perfect game to his accomplishment as well. Doug Luzier also rolled a 300 game in his 691 set.
Fred Ritenour led area bowlers for the week scoring 738/279 at White Oak Lanes. Mike Brobst was next highest, rolling a big 289 game and 725 set.
Rich Schwinabart bowled 773/266 in the Wednesday Night Men's League at The Bowler and was the area's high for the week. Norm Nicol, a couple of pins back, rolled 770/279. Bob Warnick bowled a 298 game in his 677 set. Also in that Wednesday Night Men's League, the "Gutter Cleaners" team finished the night with all five members striking out in the 10 (15 straight).
Troy Cubbage bowled the area's two top scores for the week. In the White Oak's Wednesday Night Industrial League, Cubbage scored 799/278. The following Friday night at The Bowler Troy rolled 783/277 for that center's weekly high.
Mark Miller in The Bowler's Tuesday Night Men's League was one pin away from a perfect game, rolling 681/299. Mike Oyer had the top score at The Bowler, rolling 746/258 for the week's top score in the area. Troy Cubbage was next, just two pins back, scoring a big 296 game and a 744 set.
More big scores reported this week. Dave Yates rolled another 300 game (his third this season) and a 736 set for the top score at The Bowler for the week.
This bowling season is demonstrating that the younger bowlers typically are posting the top scores in most leagues. That fact also reflects the national trend. On the PBA tour, the older bowlers (even the Hall of Fame members) are having trouble winning televised events.
Mike Brobst added to his list of career 300 games, rolling No. 22 at White Oak Lanes on Dec. 26. Mike's perfect game and 752 set were White Oak's top scores reported for the last two weeks. Fred Ritenour's 742/276 was next high.
BJ Curtis bowled the best score of this season, rolling a big 299 game and an 824 set in the County League at The Bowler on Dec. 28. Curtis' 824 set topped Jack Burner's recent high of 817 by seven pins.
