Schwinabart's 773/266 week's high

Rich Schwinabart bowled 773/266 in the Wednesday Night Men's League at The Bowler and was the area's high for the week. Norm Nicol, a couple of pins back, rolled 770/279. Bob Warnick bowled a 298 game in his 677 set. Also in that Wednesday Night Men's League, the "Gutter Cleaners" team finished the night with all five members striking out in the 10 (15 straight).
Don Parsons was White Oaks' leader for the week, rolling 751/268. Jack Hendershot followed with a 742/255 score. Jeremiah Howsare bowled a 288 game in his 733 set.
At Wilson Lanes, Bob Greene rolled 737/257 and 715/258 for that center's top score for the week. Bobby Lannon was close, rolling 710/257.
Quintin Guthrie's 696/244 was Par-Matt's high for the week. Jeremy Guthrie and Larry Wilt were next, both rolling 687/266 scores.
Joe Pope and Larry Housel Sr. were Sherwood's leaders, rolling 687/249 and 681/256 respectively.
At Rainbow Lanes, Joe Andrzejewski was highest, bowling 633/216. Rodney Helsley was next, rolling 629/214.
In the PBA Experience League at White Oaks, H. Peterson was highest, bowling 650/267 (Unbelievable! Will likely not happen again for this columnist). Chad Gable's 640/226 and a 631/236 by Joe Mullenax were next.
Missy Yates, at The Bowler, and Peggy Kephart, at Rainbow Lanes, tied for the area's top ladies' score. Yates rolled 590/214, followed by Vivian Helsley, bowling 579/202.
Kephart's 590/206 was followed by Lou Dille, bowling 580/204 at Rainbow Lanes.
Melissa Snyder's 560/218 was the week's best for the Wilson Lanes ladies. Jean Shoemaker was next, rolling 527/192.
Donna Willison and Autumn Gable were the top ladies at White Oak Lanes, bowling 544/198 and 519/204, respectively.
B.J. Riggleman's 543/197 was the Par-Matt high for the ladies, followed by Nancy Glotfelty's 539/179.
Gina Hamm rolled 514/178 for the ladies' high at Sherwood. Amy Rowe was next, bowling 496/181.
Elwood Glass was the area's top senior bowler for the week, rolling 585/221 at The Bowler. Margie Anderson scored 527/199. At Rainbow Lanes, Owen Stanley bowled 559/207 for that center's senior high for the week. Brad Deter's 544/195 was the senior high at White Oaks, and Dick Gallagher rolled 532/207 at Par-Matt Lanes.
Aaron Sites' 657/249 at White Oaks was the area's top youth bowling score for the week. Megan Kyle rolled 630/222 at The Bowler. Shawn Bennett scored 611/226 at Par-Matt and Amanda Greene rolled 592/201 at Wilson Lanes.
On the PBA Tour, Norm Duke defeated Ryan Shafer, 202-165, in the finals to win the 2008 Denny's World Championships at Indianapolis. Duke defeated Walter Ray Williams Jr. in the semifinal match, 208-180. Duke, fighting off the flu, earned $50,000 for the win and a two-year exemption.
