Bob Greene perfect again

Bob Greene bowled another perfect game at Wilson Lanes in the Thursday Night Doubles League on April 2. Greene also rolled a 722/248 score in the Trio League that same evening.

The area’s top score for the week was a 749/277 bowled by Tom Fairgrieve at White Oak Lanes. Chad Taylor followed with a 744/259.

At Wilson Lanes, Scott Hixenbaugh also bowled a 749 set with a 267 high game. Greene’s 722 was next high at that center for the week.

Steve Macak was highest at The Bowler rolling 743/258. Larry Housel was next scoring 721/257.

C.P. Sines was highest for the week at Rainbow Lanes scoring 673/235. Joe Shoemaker followed rolling 652/221.

Gary Monahan’s 655/236 was the weekly high at Sherwood Lanes. Doug Courtney was next rolling 616/223. Charlie Blank bowled a 545/208 and his highest series ever. His current average is 149.

In the PBA Experience League at White Oaks, Bobby Lannon posted the top score of 658/258. Mike Brobst and A.J. Bishop were next rolling 642/238 and 632/226, respectively.

Michele Hitchens bowled 649/246 and was the area’s top lady bowler for the week. Betty Gable followed at that center rolling 595/203.

Crystal Uhl scored 612/216 for the ladies’ weekly high at The Bowler. Tammy Chance was next high rolling 592/243.

Sandy Hott was highest for ladies at Rainbow Lanes scoring 599/226. Lou Dille was next bowling 570/215.

Sandy Smith’s 593/212 was the ladies’ high at Wilson Lanes. Julie Greene was next rolling 553/224.

Senior Darrel Boatman scored 573/204 at The Bowler and Pat Logsdon rolled 569/224 at White Oak Lanes.

Charlie Abernathy bowled 662/278 for the area’s youth high at Rainbow Lanes. Danny Walch rolled 661/278 at The Bowler. Kevin Patch scored 615/216 at White Oaks and youth Patrick Russell scored 470/187 at Sherwood Lanes.

The Youth All-Star Tournament will be held at Par-Matt Lanes on April 19 starting at 2 p.m. The current average cut-off date is March 15. The Spring Awards Banquet will be held at the Cresaptown Eagles Club on April 25 with dinner at 7 p.m. All sanctioned bowlers are welcome. Cost is $13 per person (adults only, happy hour at 6 p.m.). The youth awards event will be held in May – details later.

The annual meeting for area league bowlers will be held at White Oak Lanes on a Tuesday, May 26, starting at 7 p.m. Election of association officers including the President and three board members. Also this is the only time changes to association bylaws can be made. Voting members are each league’s representatives.
