Bobby Lannon rolls week-high at White Oak Lanes

Bobby Lannon scored 759/245 at White Oak Lanes and was the area’s top bowler for the week. Jeremiah Howsare followed, rolling 717/278. Don Parsons bowled a big 289 in his 702 set.
At The Bowler, Eric Bittner scored the highest, rolling 757/276. B.J. Curtis was next, bowling a 280 game in his 728 set. Keith Tenney, in the Harmony League, bowled a 287 game in his 718 set.
Rodney Helsley posted the top mark at Wilson Lanes, bowling 706/254. Bob Greene followed, scoring 694/258.
Jim Gardner and Larry Housel Jr. were the top bowlers at Sherwood Lanes, bowling 695/242 and 682/244 respectively.
Jeremy Guthrie rolled 682/269 and carried the Par-Matt high for the week. Kevin Biser followed, scoring 667/232.
In the PBA Experience League at White Oaks, Don Parsons was highest, bowling 595/205. Jimmy Barrett’s 591/218 and Chad Gable’s 584/211 were the next highest.
Vicki Coughlin bowled 626/253 at The Bowler for the top ladies’ score in the area. Missy Yates was next high at that center, rolling 616/236.
Vicky Anderson’s 571/216 was the highest ladies’ score for the week at White Oak Lanes. Michele Hitchins followed, rolling 567/246.
Nancy Glotfelty scored 555/210 for the ladies’ high at Par-Matt Lanes. Sharon Collins was next, rolling 535/187.
The high for the ladies at Wilson Lanes was 541/212, rolled by Jean Shoemaker. Julie Greene’s 518/220 was the next highest.
At Sherwood Lanes, Alice Monahan was highest, rolling 531/192. Anna Combs followed, scoring 471/211.
Glenn Bell was the area’s top senior for the week, bowling 602/212. Larry Coddington scored 535/213 and Bill Middleton rolled 475/180 at White Oak Lanes.
Megan Kyle was the area’s top youth, bowling 632/216 at Rainbow Lanes. Youth bowler, Kevin Patch bowled 626/227 at White Oak Lanes. Megan Kyle rolled 603/223 at Sherwood and Josh Oates bowled 573/212 at Wilson Lanes. Shawn Bennett was the high man for the youth at Par-Matt, rolling a 521 set.
On the PBA tour last Sunday, Walter Ray Williams Jr. won the Great Lakes Classic at Wyoming, Mich., his 44th career title. Williams was behind Mike Scroggins in the semifinal until Scroggins opened in the seventh frame, missing a 10-pin. Williams needed two strikes in the 10th and won 234 to 226. In the final he defeated Chris Loschetter, 276 to 204. Loschetter advanced to the championship match, defeating Parker Bohn 239 to 226.
