— OAKLAND — Two Garrett County men were arrested recently following execution of four search warrants related to the alleged manufacturing and distribution of methamphetamine, according to the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office.

The warrants were executed Nov. 14 by Garrett and Allegany County narcotics investigators, the sheriff’s office, Maryland State Police of the McHenry barrack, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office.

Arrested were Dana Russell Stallard, 34, of Friendsville and Jeffrey Vincent Corby, 45, of Mountain Lake Park.

Both men were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

They are awaiting trial after posting $25,000 bond for their pretrial release from the Garrett County Detention Center.

Police said four searches were conducted before searches of residences at 104 Morris Ave. in Friendsville and 15 O’Brien St. in Mountain Lake Park led to discovery of methamphetamine, containers in the methamphetamine production process, materials used in the production of methamphetamine and containers where methamphetamine had previously been produced.

The sheriff’s office said additional charges are pending.
