— GRANTSVILLE — A driver described as a black man in a small black car robbed the Grantsville Ag Service, a gasoline and livestock feed store, without ever leaving the vehicle Thursday evening, according to Maryland State Police.

A male employee working inside an attendant’s enclosure at the gas pumps told police the incident took place at 6 p.m. The business is at 28 Springs Road.

The attendant said the car was traveling south on state Route 669 when it pulled up to the pumps. The masked driver is said to have shown a knife and demanded money, which was handed over.

Police report that the driver told the attendant to kneel in the enclosure.

After a short time, the attendant stood, but the vehicle had gone out of sight.

MSP’s Criminal Enforcement Division responded and is investigating. Tips about the crime may be given to police at 301-387-1101.
