Hampshire school board to get new member

— ROMNEY, W.Va. — Unofficial election tallies show that incumbents Gerald Mathias and Jean Shoemaker will remain on the Hampshire County Board of Education. 

Incumbent Jim Breinig lost his seat to John Ward Jr. 

Ward was the biggest vote-getter with 1,608, followed by Mathias with 1,174 and Shoemaker with 1,020.

John Dan Sitar garnered 894 votes and Breinig ended up with 760.
