KEYSER, W.Va. — Kevin Clark was recently selected as the new director of the Mineral County Development Authority by an ad hoc search committee. Clark, who will begin the position March 15, replaces Mona Ridder, who retired effective Jan. 1.
“We felt from the beginning that he was a very viable candidate,” said Terry Liller, authority member and member of the search committee. “He is a good fit for the job. He lives in the county, is young and has a passion for the area.”
Clark was chosen from 19 candidates who were later narrowed down to five candidates and were interviewed.
He has a business-related degree and is part owner of the Subway in Fort Ashby, according to Liller.
Clark will be introduced at the March 18 authority meeting. The agenda for the meeting includes the handbook changes, strategic plan process, Fort Ashby Industrial Park sales, nominating committee, grant award for marketing industrial park, and economic development and education partnership.
The meeting will start at 8:30 a.m. in the office located at 87 N. Main St.
