Two injured in Allegany County accidents

— CUMBERLAND — Traffic accidents in LaVale and Oldtown injured at least two persons, according to the Allegany County 911 center.

One person was taken to the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center following a two-vehicle crash on National Highway in the area of Denney’s Restaurant.

LaVale fire and rescue volunteers responded upon alert at 7:48 a.m., Friday.

Thursday, an accident on Route 51 at Spring Gap sent one person to the Cumberland hospital by District 16 Ambulance.

District 16 volunteer firefighters also responded to the scene upon alert at 6:55 p.m., Thursday.

Both accidents were investigated by Maryland State Police.
