Post 13 clinches Mtn. District crown
Sean Collette started Fort Cumberland’s day off with a lead off home run in the bottom of the first inning, and Post 13 would roll on to clinch the Mountain District by sweeping Grantsville Post 214 Saturday in a doubleheader at Legion Field.
Post 13 sweeps Potomac Valley
Chris Stein pitched a five-hit shutout in the opener, and Chris Wilson allowed only four hits in the nightcap as Fort Cumberland Post 13 scored a 8-0 and 13-3 sweep over host Potomac Valley Post 64 in American Legion baseball on Thursday at Moorefield High School.
Post 13 splits with Jefferson
Sean Collette’s first-inning home run gave Fort Cumberland an edge in the second game of a doubleheader Post 13 split with the Jefferson Bulls Sunday afternoon at Legion Field.
Tomlinson’s blast tops Grantsville
Chandler Tomlinson belted a two out, two-run home run to cap off a four-run eighth inning that lifted Fort Cumberland Post 13 over Grantsville Post 214, 6-5, in American Leagion baseball action Sunday at Legion Field.

Fort Cumberland Post 13 clinched the first half of the Mountain District by improving to 4-1 in district play with a 5-3 win over Grantsville Post 214 Thursday evening at Legion Field.
Grantsville sweeps Wheeling
Jason Ashby drove in three runs in the first game and Nathan King brought home four in the second as Grantsville Post 214 swept Wheeling Post 1 Sunday during the Hillbilly Hardball Classic in American Legion baseball action at Davis & Elkins College.
Beasom’s arm, bat lead Grantsville to Hardball win
Trey Beasom homered and singled and got the final two outs for a save as Grantsville Post 214 beat Kanawha Valley Post 94, 10-8, in the opening round of the Hardball Hillbilly Classic Friday at West Virginia Wesleyan College.
Tomlinson, Wilson lead Post 13’s sweep
Chandler Tomlinson and Chris Wilson helped pitch Fort Cumberland Post 13 to a sweep of Morgantown Post 2 Sunday in American Legion baseball action.
Elkins takes two from Grantsville
Grantsville Post 214 couldn’t get the bats going in the first game, and lost a 5-0 lead in the second to drop both games of a American Legion doubleheader with Elkins Saturday at Garrett College.
