They hadn't counted on moving to Atlantis

In 2005 we moved into the city because we are getting older and thought it would be easier to be closer to everything.
Little did we know that after the city replaced a storm drain with one that was too small that we would be flooded every time that we get a storm.
We have been flooded six times since then, the last time being last Saturday. We have complained to everyone at city hall and have been told that it would cost $1.6 million to correct a problem that the city has created itself.
The city engineer admitted that they caused the problem. In the meantime we are forced to live under the threat of flooding each time we have a h hard rain. We have to move our vehicle to higher ground.
You can bet if Canal Place had a problem they could find the money to fix the problem, but we on South Cedar street have to live under stress and unsanitary conditions.
Maybe the next time the tourists come to town they can wait until it rains and bring a busload to South Cedar Street and show them that Atlantis really does exist right here in South Cumberland.
