You have to play by their rules, and there are strings attached

To the Editor:
Cumberland Times-News

In response to the man who can’t make extra money because of his SSI income (“SSI law prevents people who wants to make extra money,” June 16 Times-News), when you have to depend on the government for a check you have to play by their rules.

I guess they feel if you can make a little extra money you could make a lot more. Anything the government has to do with you can bet there are tight strings attached.

I am also on disability because I am legally blind. I guess disability means just that ... disabled.
