County should pay them for taking care of animals

This letter is a response to the article of Tuesday, July 15: "Mineral officials raise fees relating to unwanted pets" (page 1A).

People will just dump more pets on my sisters. Hundreds of pets have been dumped on my sisters over the years.

A couple of months ago one sister found a mother cat that had just had kittens on my sisters farm on Dirty Foot Road, then came home and found three small kittens in the bush by her driveway on Georges Run Road.

My sisters take these discarded animals-have them sterilized, then have to buy food for them.

Mineral County should pay my sisters for taking in unwanted animals.
