Local agencies made opening supermarket downtown easy

Cumberland Times-News

— As the president of DM Save A Lot Food Stores, I would like to thank all of the agencies that provided us with their seamless and professional support in our efforts to open our new downtown location.

We received 100 percent cooperation from the entire Cumberland government community, including the following: permits and planning, health department, fire marshal, historic district planning, building inspection, and finance and accounting.

Having opened and operated stores in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland, I must say, unequivocally, this has been our best experience to date.

Most importantly, thank you to our loyal customers who have supported us for many years at our Industrial Boulevard location and have received us so wholeheartedly at Cumberland Plaza.

We pledge to continue to provide you with both value and service and to remain an appreciative and integral part of your awesome community.
