Thanks to McKay for silencing the ‘foul-mouthed employee’

Children learn from example. Foul language should not be used, even in bars. What we learn at home is what our kids will learn.

Thank you, (Allegany County) Commissioner Michel McKay for stopping the continued expletives. (“Foul-mouthed county employee placed on leave,” Dec. 7 Times-News, Page 1A)

Dictionary definition of expletive: “word inserted to fill a vacancy without adding to.”

Basically, when a person uses such words, it indicates a lack of vocabulary. I would suggest that the “county employee” use short sentences to get his point across.

Show respect to others, always learning new words will bring respect to the speaker.
