— The Cresap Society wishes to thank the senior class students and their instructor from the masonry program at the Center for Career and Technical Education in Cresaptown for their hard work and dedication in their installation of the Cresap family bricks that now surround the original Cresap Stone Monument in Riverside Park.

During three morning sessions, the students and their instructor volunteered their time and did a wonderful job installing 424 engraved bricks in family groups that were purchased by descendants of Col. Thomas Cresap.

The Cresap Society also would like to thank the employees of Cumberland Monuments for their hard work and attention to detail in engraving each of the Cresap family bricks with names and an assigned Cresap Society descendant number.

Many city of Cumberland employees devoted a tremendous amount of time and effort to improve the park with the addition of the new National Road Monument and new sidewalks throughout the park.

The Cresap Society encourages the community to come and visit Riverside Park and appreciate all that this unique location has to offer.
