A little respect would have been appreciated on this day

This is for the guy who was hauling gravel on Philos Avenue in Westernport on the afternoon of Oct. 4.

Was it really asking too much for you to shut your backhoe off and wait a few minutes while we had our mother’s inurnment service?

I realize that you were just doing your job, but I doubt your boss would have been angry if you told him that you were delayed a few minutes by a funeral. When the service was over, you even tailgated the funeral director as he moved his car.

I can only hope that when the time comes to lay one of your loved ones to rest, that those around you offer you the same courtesy and respect that you should have offered our mother and family that day.
