Help support community pantry during the Homecoming Game

To the Editor:
Cumberland Times-News

— Again this year, WTBO/WFRB Radio Station is sponsoring a food drive for the Interfaith Community Pantry to be held the day of the Homecoming Game at Greenway Avenue Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 3,.

Patrons attending the game are asked to bring nonperishable food items to the game. Cash donations will also be graciously accepted.

WTBO/WFRB has sponsored this fundraiser for the pantry over the years and it has proven to be helpful in serving those in need.

The Interfaith Community Pantry exists to provide emergency food supplies to those in need in Cumberland. The pantry relies on financial donations and donations of nonperishable food from charitable organizations, churches and individuals throughout Allegany County.

Currently, due to a higher demand for our services and fewer donations received, the pantry is extremely low in its inventory. The food drive at the Homecoming game is certainly an excellent opportunity to help us restock our shelves.

The pantry would like to thank the individuals, churches, and organizations who responded so generously to our recent letter to the editor “Interfaith Community Pantry needs community’s support,” July 26 Times-News).

We are grateful and very appreciative of the people of this community who continually support the pantry.
