Cumberland Times-News

— Every year about this time through mid-May, our local schools put on their spring theater productions. This year by coincidence, several of them are on the exact same days. The good news is that with careful planning, you should be able to see them all.

Beginning March 27 through March 30 you have the following to choose from:

The Cumberland Theatre Teens production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Jesus Christ Superstar”; (The CT Teens were formed three years ago, comprised of teens ages 13 through 19 from the Tri-State area bonding students from several regional schools and home schooling into one unified production); Potomac State’s “Les Miserables” also by Andrew Lloyd Webber; Mountain Ridge High School’s “Crazy for You”, and Bishop Walsh’s “Beauty and the Beast.” Your attendance shows support for our local talented young people who love to entertain you.

Also coming soon are the Maryland Theatre Arts production of “Jungle Book” April 4-6 at the Cumberland Theatre, Allegany High School’s musical “A Little Princess” April 10-13, and Fort Hill’s “Cinderella” April 24-27.
