They’re blaming everybody but themselves

Recently the Obama administration and the Democratic Party blamed everyone except themselves for the current government shutdown.

The current problems are the result of the actions and policies of this administration and the Democratic Party. They have:

Increased the national debt from $9 trillion under President Bush to over $15 trillion under President Obama.

Under a Republican Congress from 2003 to 2006, over 8 million jobs were added. Under a Democratic Congress from 2007 to 2010, over 8 million jobs were lost.

Under Nancy Pelosi’s leadership, 6 percent was added to the debt as a percent of GDP.

Under the leadership of Gingrich and Hastert, they reduced the percent of debt to GDP.

Unemployment under presidents Clinton and Bush was a little over 5 percent. Unemployment under President Obama is over 9 percent.

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) was passed by Congress, signed into law by the president and upheld by the Supreme Court. It’s ironic the three branches of government that approved this law exempted themselves from this law.

Also, large corporations, union and many others received waivers from the administration. However, no waivers were given to individual American citizens.

Democrats want to blame the Tea Party for the problems. The Tea Party stands for a balanced budget and reducing and eliminating the national debt.

This will result in a stronger economy and improved opportunities for our children and grandchildren to have a standard of living as good or better than the current generation.

The Democratic Party platform and actions are to spend more money than is received in income. In recent years, for every dollar received in income they have spent $1.47.

This overspending weakens the economy and, in the long run will bankrupt the country. This overspending results in the government borrowing money from other countries. When we go bankrupt, those countries holding our debt, will tell us how much, where and when to cut spending.

This will result in our children and grandchildren,as standard of living being less than the current generation. They will pay very high taxes to pay off our debt.

Based on party platform and actions it’s the Democratic Party who are responsible for our current problems.

The women’s health issues in the ACA deal with birth control and abortions being made mandatory in coverage for Catholic organizations.

Both birth control and abortions are in violation of Catholic church teachings and beliefs. This is an attempt to take away some parts of religious freedom..

Recently the Democratic administration did the following:

Told ministers they cannot conduct religious functions on U.S. military bases during the federal government shutdown.

Put up crime tape at the World War II Memorial. If veterans crossed this tape, they could face criminal charges.

Shut down American cemeteries in France. These are the burial places for Americans killed in WWII.

Military service. People killed in action the government will not pay bury them and will not pay death benefits to their families.

The current problems are the fault of the Democratic Party and their actions concerning the military are not in keeping with American values and principles.

I’d like to pose a theoretical scenario to Cal Thomas.

If a medical specialist said, “Cal, you’ve got a serious physical problem. Do nothing and you’ll die soon. Follow my prescription, which involves certain life-style changes, and there’s a good probability you’ll live, even if your life may be a bit more constrained than now.”
