Are they going to tear down houses for a bicycle lane?

I read recently that Kevin Shaffer has been suspended from his job for three months (“Foul-mouthed county employee placed on leave,” Dec. 7 Times-News, Page 1A). With pay! Boy, I bet he hates that.

Makes me wonder. If they can do without him for three months, maybe they didn’t need him in the first place.

And another thing. I can’t believe they are going to make a bike lane on Frederick and Bedford streets (“Citizens raise concerns over bike lane plans,” Feb. 21 Times-News, Page 1A).

There isn’t room on Bedford Street. Are they going to tear houses down?

The inmates are running the asylum.

That’s my opinion, and I’m sticking to it.
