Thanks to first responders and others who are keeping us safe

Due to the extreme weather our area is experiencing, it is a good time to thank our first responders. There are so many who are keeping us safe and warm without regard to their own welfare.

A special tribute is in order for the snow-removal personnel, whether city, county, state or contractual employees. They have a difficult job just to report for duty. These drivers are working 12-hour shifts in white-out conditions, dealing with irate and irresponsible drivers, making sure the citizens reach their destination safely.

May God keep them safe as they are keeping us safe. To all of you my heartfelt thanks.
