It may kill the mother, too

— The Right to Life March takes place on the D.C. Mall Jan. 24, including prayer before the Supreme Court. It is a time for remembering those who were never allowed to take their first breath.

It is a time for reflection and hope there will be a change in the hearts of those who support the atrocity of abortion; hope to change the law that permits it.

It is hoped the media will mainstream the deaths of not only the unborn but their mothers. Since the Supreme Court passed Roe vs. Wade on Jan. 22, 1973, 56 million unborn babies have died.

The means used to kill the baby risks the mother’s life. Planned Parenthood is accountable for the death of one baby every 94 seconds and 25 percent of the abortion deaths in our nation.

It claims to provide prenatal care, family planning, yet only 8 percent of its services include prenatal and adoption referrals and screening.

In the last year, 333,964 babies’ lives were snuffed out, and one million babies in the last three years.

Planned Parenthood got $542 million federal tax dollars against the will of the people. As low as 6 percent of Americans support abortion on demand when polled.

Little is reported to the mainstream media of these fatalities. Tonya Reaves of Chicago arrived at Planned Parenthood at 11 a.m. and was pronounced dead by 11 p.m. on July 20, 2012. She was allowed to bleed to death from a perforated uterus.

According to Pro-Life Alliance, Martin Fox, she was left in this state for five hours. She was dropped off at an emergency room, with no prior call. No one was prepared to care for her immediately. By the time staff found out the problem it was too late.

According to his Life Dynamics, Priests for Life, and Operation Rescue, a mother referred for a “safe and legal abortion” in Magee Womens Hospital of Pittsburgh, died along with her unborn son. Marla Cardamone was 18 years old and a mother of one.

She had taken medications for depression and was “pressured” by a medical social worker to abort due to problems the medications caused her unborn son, according to Marla’s mother, Deborah.

The sonogram taken had according to her mother stated “without abnormalities.”

This is the data she obtained after the death of her daughter and unborn grandson by filing a lawsuit. The drugs used for the abortion killed the mother. She died of septicemia.

She was not informed of the sonogram results. This is a 1989 case. They are exposing this case and photos of the deceased mother and her approximately 4-month-old, son Christopher Michael. How many more cases are being kept from the public?

There is no conscience clause in this administration’s Affordable Care Act. We the public are not given the right to choose to not have our tax dollars spent to kill the unborn and injure or kill their mother.

Title X funds are for health care and family planning and only 8 percent of the services provided by Planned Parenthood are used for this purpose. These monies should be granted to genuine family and prenatal clinics.

There is an Abortion Provider Prohibition Act (HR 217) currently in the House of Representatives and soon to go Congress to defund Planned Parenthood, sponsored by Rep. Diane Black, District 6, TN-R, a nurse for 40 years.

State health departments and community clinics can provide the care that is needed for prenatal and family planning and well deserve the funding.

Listed are Maryland’s representatives who can be contacted to support the HR 217 Bill and prevent federal tax dollars being used to fund abortion.
