Wearing the poppy tells others people that you remember

On May 25, members of Farrady Unit 24 American Legion Auxiliary, Frostburg, will once again ask the citizens of the community to remember the sacrifices our veterans have made.

This memorial poppy is not only a personal tribute to the dead, but it also honors the living veterans and helps with necessary rehabilitation.

When you wear this little red flower, it helps to keep alive the kind of patriotism so necessary in this great country of ours. As long as such a feeling exists in our hearts, we need not fear for the future of our nation, for we will never forget the price of war and the responsibility for freedom.

Wear your poppy that has been hand-made by a veteran and show again that you, too, honor the millions who served the United States of America.

Poppies will be distributed at Food Lion Plaza and Save-A-Lot in Frostburg.

Susan Diamond, poppy chairman

Farrady Unit 24

Frostburg
