Here’s a good way to usher out the ‘Dog Days of Summer’

As a member of the Upper Potomac Valley Kennel Club, I would like to let our community know about an upcoming event at the Frostburg Dog Park (located at the old Calhoun Park).

AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day will take place on Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day is a program designed to celebrate and support the special human-canine bond.

Visitors to the Frostburg Dog Park can expect to see agility and obedience demonstrations. Microchipping and Canine Good Citizen testing will be taking place. Adoption opportunities will be available through several area rescues and shelters.

If you already have a dog be sure to enter the fun pet dog show. Also there will be vendors, raffles, games, and food.

Take advantage of the last “Dog Days of Summer” with your four-legged friend at AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day at the Frostburg Dog Park.
