Crews from Maryland State Highway Administration will continue to work at the bridge on state Route 36 over the next few weeks to replace cracking pavement on the deck of the bridge closest to Lonaconing, according to Kellie Boulware, spokeswoman for SHA. The bridge had been in place for approximately a year when crews reportedly noticed the pavement on the deck of the bridge was cracking. The top 2 inches of the bridge surface will be milled and replaced with a modified latex concrete. Boulware said there are no issues with the structure of the bridge.
